The first triggering of Deb Fillman happened when I launched this site, The Art of the Trigger.
I wrote an essay about why I think everyone needs to be triggered. I didn't mention anyone in my essay.
But Deb apparently thought the whole thing was about her and wrote a 30-tweet thread explaining why I am a horrible person for starting a website called The Art of the Trigger.
Since Deb is blocked from seeing my tweets, I’m not entirely sure how she found out about the site in the first place…unless she was stalking me looking for material to be upset about.
In which case she deserves to be triggered.

Well, I think I done did it again.
I was researching for Surviving Keri Smith last night when I came across this gem from Deb:
Now, there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with what Deb said here. It’s pessimistic and defeatist, but people are allowed to be pessimistic and defeatist. Deb is allowed to be a negative nelly.
But what caught my eye is that Deb seemed to say she was a conservative.
This was funny…because Deb had pretended to be a Libertarian when she was badgering the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire for nominating me for Governor, even though Deb didn’t live in New Hampshire and it was therefore none of her business.
This is an example from the very thread that Deb wrote about my debut Art of the Trigger essay. You can see the full thread here:
So, I have to say, I took slight umbrage with the fact that Deb was now saying she was a conservative. And I tweeted this:
Why do things trigger us? Because we know they are true at either a conscious or a subconscious level. Triggering always represents truth, even if it’s just a small nugget of truth.
How do we know if someone is triggered? There is an emotional response that is disproportionate from what the trigger was.
So, what if I told you that Deb wrote a 25-tweet thread to justify her political affiliation?
Seems like she knew it was true that she wasn’t really a libertarian…and it seems like she had a disproportionate response. Just saying.
So there you have it, folks. After a year of REEEEEEEEEEEEEEing that I would destroy the Libertarians and then discard them, Deb Fillman ended up leaving the Libertarian Party before I did.
And she was triggered by the truth when I pointed it out.
